Global Economic Evolution


Mr. Kim Hong, former Managing Director and Head of Asia Pacific for Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO), came to meet MSGF Class of 2016 during their Closing Module in Hong Kong in November 2017, and shared his valuable insights on the financial markets. Mr Hong talked about the global economic evolution, covering the dynamics behind the past few financial crises.


Mr. Hong has 30 years of experience in the financial industry. He was MD and Head of Asia Pacific for PIMCO in 2010 to 2013, supervising PIMCO’s offices in Tokyo, Sydney, Singapore and Hong Kong. Before joining PIMCO, Mr. Hong was President of Asia Pacific for Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) based in Hong Kong. Previously he also held various positions in JP Morgan, Bankers Trust, and Citibank. He holds BA (Economics) and MBA (Finance) degrees from the University of Chicago.


During this 2-day module, the MSGF Class of 2016 gathered once again and presented their Group Integrative Projects, attended program graduation and a closing dinner.
